Happy Hoppers

The 5th Annual State of Maine Quilt Shop Hop is well into the second week and we've already had as many hoppers as all of last year! Thank you all for supporting this fun idea and supporting your local quilt shops.

We've had many new fabrics arrive including much sought after 3Sisters favorites from moda which are on their way to retirement. This is you last chance to stock up on favorites from previous groups like Seaside Rose, Hollywood and Vine and others. They won't last folks. Stop in soon. Also new is Jitterbug from Andover, designed by a scrapbooking paper company. We're hoping our local scrapbooking shop might carry the coordinating papers!

Next week is our monthly Stash Pot Pie and Bath Quilter's Group on Tuesday 4/15 (done your taxes folks?). Please RSVP for Stash Pot Pie at 5:30 if you're not already on the list. See our previous post for all the specifics about this next meeting. Join the quilters at 6:00 for their informal and casual jaunt through the quilting world. Plus out Quilter's Happy Hour, an unadvertised special, from 4-8pm.

New classes are now posted on the class page of the website - more to come.

If you're looking for a copy of my mom's book, A Isn't for Fox, good luck! All the distributors and warehouses in our end of the world are out of stock! Her book is already in a second printing. When you do get copies, don't forget that you can have them signed right here at Mariner's Compass. Visit mom's blog for her current list of appearances (there's a link on the right side of his blog).

All for now (I hear a "mama?" from afar).
Happy Quilting & Happy Hopping!
